At Lincoln North Star, big accomplishments keep stacking up for the basketball program. On Wednesday, January 13th, 2026, Jordan Castor (11) reached a milestone few players ever achieve, scoring his 1,000th career point in a matchup against #8 Papillion-La Vista inside The Swamp.

Castor entered the night needing only a few points, but still played to win the game for the team. He finished with 14 points on 5-8 shooting, along with 7 rebounds and 11 assists, helping lead the Gators in a strong team effort. For Castor, individual milestones are great, but they aren’t quite as important to him as the team’s success. “I just want to accomplish the team goal and that’s to make it to state and win it,” Castor said.
Becoming only the fifth player in school history to reach 1,000 career points puts Castor in elite company. He joins Tyler Bullock and Donovan Williams (1,362 points), Triston Simpson (1,165), and Kwat Abdelkarim (1,054). With more than a season and a half left, Castor also has plenty of time to climb even higher on North Star’s all time scoring list.
Through 19 games this season, Castor is averaging 16 points per game while shooting 49 percent from the field. He also leads Class A in assists at 6.9 per game, while adding 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. His stat line shows that his impact means more than just scoring. “Beyond scoring, I just try to bring the energy up and get the team going,” Castor said. “It means a lot to represent North Star. There have been a couple of guys that were really good and made it far, and knowing that I’m on track with them makes me feel good.”
Castor credits much of his growth to his guys surrounding him. “My dad’s been here the whole way with me and always has my back,” he said. “I also have great teammates that help me as well. Head coach Bryan Castor said watching his son reach the milestone has been special. “Well deserved. It means a lot as a coach and a father,” Bryan said. “He’s put a lot of work in to get to where he’s at today and he knows through hard work anything is possible.”
With North Star being 16-3 and ranked #2 in the state, Castor’s 1,000th point is another achievement for this historical gator season.
