Just imagine your everyday life; you’re on your phone or talking to friends and the name “Kardashian” comes up. Kardashian this, Kardashian that. If you think about it, the name “Kardashian” is almost like a plague.
If you don’t know who the Kardashian’s are, the family consists of eight members: Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Robert Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Caitlyn Jenner.
The Kardashians became famous when the E! Channel decided to film their everyday life, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” which happened after Kim’s fame began in 2007 after a very controversial tape was leaked. Kim is probably the most famous of this family, for breaking the internet in various situations, fashion, and being in many magazines.
Kourtney is the eldest of the sisters and she owns a line of clothing.
Khloe has been in the news recently after the accidental overdose of her soon-to-be ex-husband Lamar Odom.
Robert Kardashian is the recluse of the family and has stated he doesn’t want to be photographed.
The Jenner sisters have become famous in the last couple of years. Kendall is an in-demand model, has walked and worked in campaigns for Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and Karl Lagerfeld. She’s also the face of Estee Lauder and Calvin Klein Jeans. Kylie, on the other hand, has made a name for herself when she was rumored to be with rapper Tyga and her lip fillers.
They are so famous, they have taken over social media, apps, and the headlines of newspaper. Even though they aren’t bad people, the image they give young people is bad. Kylie posts a lot about bullying and how you should “ignore the haters,” but in reality she lives a life of luxury like all her other sisters.
The image they give out to young girls is not that splendid in reality, they might be famous, but a lot of what they portray is not what the real world is really like. Their lavish lifestyle is something only most of us can dream of. But that is not to say they don’t have their own struggles.
This summer, Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, came out publicly about her transition to becoming a woman. The E! network followed her and her family through this transition. In the last month, Khloe has dealt with the public overdose of Lamar Odom.
The Kardashian/Jenner clan deal with the same types of things we all deal with, but on a more public scale, which always puts their actions into question.
Whether you like the Kardashians or not, we think you will be seeing them in the spotlight for many years to come.
