Homecoming is a time for everyone to come together and kick off the start of the school year. Although late this year, justifying the “Haunted Homecoming” theme, North Stars homecoming had an amazing turnout.

In our own bayou, homecoming attendees dance and jump around while the DJ blissfully transitions from track to track. Announced at the pep rally, royalty is a big part of what makes homecoming special and is one of northstars long standing traditions. Each grade has 4 nominees, and 2 winners, and students vote for each grade when they purchase their ticket. Freshman royalty winners were Addi Brooks, and Kobe Allen. Sophomore royalty winners were Derek Stanton and Jessica Tran. Junior royalty winners were Camden McCarthy and Aliyah Ronkar. Senior royalty winners were Ezekiel Menter and Rebecca Manning. Junior Aliyah Ronkar says that her favorite and most memorable part of homecoming was “winning royalty with 3 other cheerleaders and the mosh pit.”
