| Freshman first day was a hit as always. Many nerves leading up to this next big chapter of numerous kids’ lives. That day the freshman had a chance to hear from Mia Pham (10), Isaac Rabago (12), Josh Anderson (11), Sarah Bielenberg (11), Marley King (10), and Alexis Parde (12). All these gators were once in the same position as the incoming freshman with the same exact feeling. The six of them all got to share some things about themselves. But also talk and encourage the ninth graders to try new things, get involved with the school, don’t give up, stay on top of your assignments to earn good grades.
One of North Stars Freshman Bella Lester gave me some insight on herself and how her first day of freshman year went. Bella is involved in dance and gold. She decided to join dance because she thought it was going to be super fun and a good way to meet new people. She also dances at BEleve so she also wanted to improve at her studio too. Bella was influenced to be on the golf team. It was something new

Hi my name is Mariana! I am a junior at North Star high school, this is my first year in Mass Media. I am very excited to be part of this team and can’t wait to see what this year is going to be like. I played volleyball and tennis my freshman and sophomore year, but this year I decided to dedicate my time more to tennis!
My favorite thing about North Star is getting to go to all the sports games and be in the student section.

and already knew someone on the golf team that had mentioned that she should join since they were in need of more players. She went to Schoo for middle school and when it was finally time to choose what high school to go to she wanted to be a gator. North star
was a school she really wanted to go there because she was really interested in being a part of the Dazzlers. Two things Bella loves about North Star are the teachers and how she got to become friends with new people. Leading up to the first day she had a bunch of mixed emotions, nervous, excited, and scared. She did get lost trying to make her way to her classes but since then she has mastered her way around! Aside from getting lost on the first day the rest of school went super good and was great. Bella can’t wait for the remainder of football games and basketball games that she gets to dance. She is thrilled to see what the rest of the school year looks like for her.
