UNL basketball player, Keisei Tominaga, came to visit Lincoln North Star on Friday, March 19. He talked with a lot of North Star scholars about discipline, determination and what it takes to be a collegiate athlete.
Tominaga gave his advice on how to excel in school and in sports. He recommended that one should focus on the harder things first and then you can focus on the smaller items. Tominaga is a big role model for lots of kids, he is phenomenal on the court and in the classroom. It’s so special that Tomingaga chose to come to North Star to give his speech.
After Tominga’s speech he took more time to shoot around with some of the North Star scholars. One student he shot with specifically was Grant Softley, “I had so much fun getting the opportunity to shoot around with such an amazing basketball player like Keisei Tominaga, he was so much fun to shoot around with and I just loved the vibe he gave off,” Sofetley states.
Overall, Tominaga is a great role model and it is amazing that he chose to come to North Star to share some amazing advice to the students. Tominaga has made many huge accomplishments in his life like being on the UNL basketball team, and getting the award for being one of the most outstanding student-athletes this year. Tominaga coming to North Star really just shows that he is an amazing person even off of the basketball court and that he wants to make an impact in his community.
