North Stars FBLA Chapter recently made waves at the State Business Conference, where members showcased their talent, determination, and commitment to excellence. The conference, held at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney, NE, brought together FBLA chapters from across the state to compete, collaborate, and celebrate their achievements. The theme for FBLA chapters across the country was, “Together We Achieve.” The Gators truly celebrated this motto at state, gathering many awards, accomplishments, and achievements. The Gators FBLA chapter won the largest class A chapter award, with 77 registered members. Our chapter members participated in a variety of personal and team events. These teams placed in the top 8 and went up on stage to accept their awards.

Mr. Ball plans to take five of these students to Nationals in Orlando this summer.
In addition to the competitions, FBLA members also participated in a series of workshops and seminars led by industry experts. These sessions covered various topics, from entrepreneurship and innovation to leadership and management. Attendees were able to gain valuable insights and skills that will benefit them in their future careers and activities that they will use for the rest of their lives. Kristi Chumber (11), shares that “I can definitely keep the connections I made with my peers and community members who visit us. FBLA can help me make smarter financial decisions and understand the risks and benefits of many topics in business. I am also able to explore different areas of business for my future and see the best fit.” When asked what he learned by competing at state FBLA, Keegan Joel (9) said, “I learned how to manage my time and when I had to lock in and be serious.”
