Thanksgiving is right around the counter and as we get closer the North Star halls get more festive.
Ms. Feit is in-charge of the booster lessons here at North Star. North Star Booster lessons are weekly lessons given to every student no matter the grade. The main focus of the booster lessons is to build relationships and go over school expectations. In previous weeks we have gone over how to use technology appropriately and the expectations in the hallway.
This week’s booster lesson covers thanksgiving and what we are thankful for. Thanksgiving means something different to many different people Ms Feit expresses, “Thanksgiving is a time to be with family and to be thankful for what you have in life”. This week’s lesson gave every student an opportunity to show what they were thankful for written out on a colorful leaf that hung outside every classroom creating thanksgiving trees.
The thanksgiving trees are a way to show off what everyone is most thankful for. Ms Feit explains, “One of your main focuses right now is respecting yourself and respecting the things around you in doing so it teaches everyone that when things get hard to realize what you and the people around you have in life.”
