As a brand new school year begins, so does the business and excitement of the North Star Mass Media classroom. Students are already hard at work developing stories and content for the online newspaper, The Gator Galaxy. This year, the team welcomed back four members from last year; Ali Johnson, Josh Goodrich, Braelyn Marshall and Kailynn Swanson, who are using their expertise to lead the new members of the team.
“I am most excited to get to work with the new incoming staff to get them excited about what goes into making the yearbook,” editor-in-chief, Ali Johnson, said. “It’s a lot of fun hearing their different ideas and having a variety of activities people are involved in. It really helps create a well rounded book.”
Another facet of the LNS Mass Media team will be developing and constructing the 2023-2024 North Star yearbook, Polaris. The group is full of creative individuals with so many great ideas. Right now, the class is spending time brainstorming ideas and working through how those ideas will translate into a full theme for the yearbook. It’s tough work determining colors, fonts, and spread ideas, but this group is proving they are up for the task.
Students and staff might notice LNS Mass Media staff taking pictures at North Star events, making sure all students are represented in the yearbook. Below is a list of the full LNS Mass Media staff as well as their titles.
