The auditorium was packed with an excited and eager crowd ready to enjoy a great variety of music and instruments. “It was really good. I had a blast actually, there was so much going on so I didn’t want the act to end, but I was excited for what was going to be next,” said senior Brendan Schultz.

“I liked how they balanced between band and orchestra, and then would correlate both instrumental groups together into one big set, it was great,” said sophomore Savannah Redl. Electrophonic got a standing ovation from the crowd after the event was finished.

The musicians also thought Electrophonic was a success. “I absolutely loved having a solo this year, well actually more than one. It’s something that I’m really going to miss, and I’m glad that my very last Electrophonic was received so well by others,” said senior Elijah Hopkins, who played the trumpet.

Junior Eli Bryan played “A Thousand Years” on the cello with co-choir director and pianist, Jennifer VanDyke. The song was played for Mrs. Joni Osborn, North Star’s choir director of 14 years, who will be retiring after this school year. “I really wanted to do something nice for her in the best possible way I could; music. She’s retiring and I had been practicing a ton. I hope Oz really appreciated it,” Bryan said.

The music wasn’t the only thing that was greatly enjoyed by the audience. The color guard also brought big applause. “I’ve been apart of color guard for four years now, and the fact that it is all over makes me want to cry. Electrophonic is the night where we get to shine every year and this year was no different,” said senior Lizy Stutzman.
