There’s No Place Like North Star’s Theater

There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home. There’s no production like The Wizard of Oz!

North Star’s cast winds you through the enchanting story of Dorothy Ann, an underappreciated, day-dreaming, Toto loving, Kansas girl. Rachel Jones played the part of Dorothy well with a heart-melting smile and girlishly sweet voice.

Brittney Ernesti, as the Wicked Witch of the West, played her part to a T with crackling screeches and menacing looks. She truly is good at being wicked that children had to be taken out.

Scene changes were done quickly and didn’t interrupt the play. There was always something going on onstage to keep the crowd entertained.

The use of aerodynamics was truly thrilling. The way the flying monkey flew across the stage during the Dorothy’s rescue from the Wicked Witch added excitement. Grace Kluck, as Glenda the Good Witch, gracefully entered the stage in her pink “bubble”. The hot air balloon floating away added to Dorothy’s despair.

These are merely mentions of all the things the show brought to life. Congratulations to all involved in the show, it was truly a magnificent display.
