Spring sports have kicked off and are in full swing.

Adriana Lisak (11), said she is looking forward to the new season.“ In all honesty, I’m looking forward to the team bonding. We have team bonding the day before each game and I truly think that’s what makes us play better and play as a team.”

Lisak is also looking forward to improving as a team.  “ This isn’t a ‘me, myself, and I’ type of sport. Everyone’s opinions go in this game. We lost a lot of players last year, and the majority of us don’t know how to play with each other. I think our first step is to learn how to play as a team and once we have mastered that, we will figure out the rest along the way.”

The Gators first game of the season was Thursday, March 17 at Bellevue East, where the Gators won 3-1 over the Chieftains. They played East on March 19, losing to the Spartans 2-0.

The Lady Gators first home game is Thursday, March 24 against the Hastings Tigers at 5 p.m. at YMCA Spirit Park, just south of 84th and O Streets.
