2016: The Year of Netflix Originals

Netflix has become a cultural phenomenon. Almost every household in the country has a subscription to the web-streaming service.

Over the past couple years, Netflix has started to produce their own content called “Netflix Originals.” Shows like “House of Cards” and “Orange is The New Black” are both Netflix Original titles.

Recently at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced they will be adding many new Netflix Originals and renewing many seasons on the shows we have come to love in 2016 .

Some of the shows being added or renewed this year are:

“Chelsea Does” – January 2016

“House of Cards” (Season Four) – March 2016

“Flaked” – March 11

“Daredevil” (Season Two) – March 18

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” (Season Two) – April 15

“Orange is the New Black” (Season Four) – June 17

Narcos” (Season Two) – Fall 2016

After CES wrapped up in Las Vegas, Netflix also launched world-wide, meaning you can now access the service all around the world.
