Recently, while rushing to my second period class, I stopped to chat with some of my friends. Adele was the topic of conversation. I was unaware Adele had made her big comeback and rushed home after school to listen, and then, download it.
It was a pretty catchy song, but it wasn’t something out of this world. What was the mass hysteria over Adele?
Adele dropped from the public eye to have surgery, now the tone of her songs is way different than before.
Sophomore Trinity Cox said Adele’s new song is “fire.” Junior Taylor Yaussi said, “[Adele’s] voice is deep, yet angelic” like before.
In her songs “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You,” she poses a girl who has been heartbroken. In almost all of her songs, she would blame that man for making her feel a certain way. I loved those songs to be honest but something about this new tone to Adele made me appreciate her a little bit more. “At least I can say that I’ve tried, To tell you I’m sorry for breaking your heart” and “To tell you I’m sorry for everything that I’ve done” are some of my favorite lyrics in her song.
Her old songs, in my opinion, used to diminish the image of a women. I liked her songs, but this new song is so much more touching. I hope her the best in her tour, and I wish to hear more from her.
