Once a Fall there is that one special night that everyone waits for: Homecoming.

You go to the football game the night before, then you wake up the next morning and take the day to get ready.

Ladies take hours on their hair and makeup, and tend to every last detail so everything is perfect.

The guys make sure their suit is perfect, their breath is smelling fresh, and their hair is combed just right.

Home-coming night, the one magical night for sophomores and freshman, one out of two special nights for juniors and seniors.

The theme plays a big part in how much the students will enjoy themselves. The theme for our 2015 Homecoming dance was Hollywood Nights.

Senior Danny Rocke said, “[The themes] are just not that creative. They seem to have been so similar the years that I’ve been in school.”

Senior Mikaela Ashenbach said, “The theme is better than years before.”

The steps a girl takes are crucial in how the girls’ night is going to go.

But on the other hand, the way boys get ready doesn’t usually end up affecting his night.

Both genders take very different, yet similar steps when getting ready for Homecoming.

Taylor Louthan (11) said, ”First I get up, shower, and brush my teeth. Then I go and get my hair and makeup done, and then I put  my dress, shoes and accessories on and go and take pictures with friends.

Katie Burggeman (11) said,   “I have my sister do my makeup, chill around the house, then I have my sister do my hair, and finally I put my dress, shoes, and accessories on, and go and take pictures.

Katasia Cahn (12) said, “I have someone do my hair and makeup, chill around, then put on my outfit for their night and then go and take pictures.”

Senior Brodey Weber said ”I usually wait till last-minute to get up and ready, but the first thing I do is wake up, shower, and brush my teeth. Then I get dressed up and go and take pictures.”

Music is something that can also make or break a Homecoming dance.

Song names included, “Fetty Wap,” “Trap Music,” “Lollipop” by Lil Wayne, “Hit the Quan,” and the Whip/Nae Nae.

In order for everyone to enjoy themselves students want to play all styles of music. You want to have people dancing a jamming out to music. But if you play music that no one likes, everyone will leave and not want be there.

Usually these kind of nights are more important to girls than boys. To girls they get to wear pretty dresses with pretty hair and makeup and go out dance and have the night of their life.

This year seems to have been a success. Over 500 tickets were sold by Student Council to the dance.
