The Gators were handed a tough loss Friday by Millard North as they fought hard for four quarters. The boys battled, and ended up with a final score of 42-14, Mustangs over the Gators.
As the Gators prepared for the game all week, they knew it was going to be their toughest game yet. Senior Dillon Ertz said, “It was hard dealing with the loss. We knew it was going to be our most challenging game this season, and we gave it all we got.”
As the players knew it was going to be a tough game, and most exciting game, so did North Star’s student section. Junior Jenna Tederman, a familiar face in the section, said, “It was by far the loudest we’ve been. It was really hard to see them lose the game, because our school was fully behind the boys. We have a great student section this year.”
The boys take on Papillion South Friday, Oct. 2.
