The girl who started playing guitar in her Pennsylvania home and is now selling out Madison Square Garden in 60 seconds will be making an appearance in Omaha early next month.

Taylor Swift is currently on a world tour for her album “1989” that came out in October 2014. Swift has been to Nebraska before during her three other tours: Fearless, Speak Now, and Red. She is set to come for the fourth time Oct. 9-10 at the CenturyLink Center.

“I’ve went to four of her shows this tour and am excited for the other two I will be attending and see what she has planned for us,” said Brenna Bode (11)

Swift has been a big part of the music industry ever since she started her career with her first single “Tim McGraw” in 2006. She has won hundreds of awards and is a huge icon for the public today.

“Taylor is a good influence on everyone and many people can look up to her because she doesn’t let the fame get to her head. She is appreciative for everything she has and how much her fans have got her to where she is now,” said Bode.

Bode had the chance to meet Swift in 2013 on her Red Tour. “She was really nice to me and she even knew my name before I met her. She sat with me in Club Red and went through the gifts I gave her and took the time to make me feel important and genuinely a good person to be around.” said Bode.

Bode has attended 13 total concerts through the years and continues to go to as many as possible. Even after they met, Swift continues to keep in contact with Bode and even commented on her Instagram post, telling her “Happy Birthday” and thanking her for being a fan for so long.

In her most recent show that Bode attended, she got her seats upgraded by Swift’s mom, Andrea Swift, during the concert. “Andrea goes out of her way to make fans feel welcome and give them opportunities to meet Taylor and get better seats at the shows, no matter where you are sitting.” Bode, and the group of eight people she was with at the concert, all got closer seats.

“I definitely would recommend going to her upcoming show in Omaha,” said Bode. She said the show is always full of surprises and that each concert is personal and different. Swift interacts with the crowd and has even pulled people up on stage before. Swift also has a special unknown guest at most of the dates on the tour that have included Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, Lorde, and Ellen DeGeneres.

“When I went to the Kansas City show the first night Dierks Bentley was the special guest and was standing right beside me before he went on,” Bode said.
