Prom is a day that juniors and seniors start preparing for months before you can even buy a ticket. It’s a day that girls obsess over. Hundreds of dollars are spent on dresses, dinner, and limos. It’s one of the most memorable nights as a high school student. Getting ready for prom can be very stressful for the students who attend, but the processes for boys and girls to get ready are completely different.

The closer it gets to prom the more stressed girls get. They start to worry about getting a dress, buying shoes, figuring out how they’re going to do their hair. Most girls already know everything they want. They’ve had a dressed picked out since the beginning of the year and have pictured the night at least a thousand times.

Boys, on the other hand, have to go through something totally different. They have to wait on a girl to pick out a dress before they can even get a tux and they have to stand in stores debating on the perfect corsage for their date. They worry about making the dinner plans and whether or not they have to get a limo or drive their car. Boys try to make the night special for their dates.

Other than the process of getting ready, the most stressful thing there is about prom is who you’re going with.

If you’re dating someone it’s almost a given that you’re going to go with that person, but boys have to remember that they still have to ask their girlfriend to prom.

It is a girls dream to be asked to prom in a cute way. Girls will wonder if they’re going to get asked, or if they’re going to have to be the third wheel with their best friend and her date. They will sit and think about the cutest ways to get asked and if they’re going to get asked in a cute way. The real pressure is on the guy.

Boys have to think of who they want to ask, and how they’re going to ask. On top of it all, they have to worry about being shot down. Considering not all boys are as creative as others, coming up wth a cute way to ask a girl to prom can be difficult. They way you ask a girl to prom can be a deal breaker.
So when getting ready for prom, be sure you pay close attention to every detail.

Girls, make sure that your dress is perfectly altered, your hair appointment is set up, and you have every accessory needed.
Boys, think about the way your date would want to be asked to prom. Double check to make sure your tux matches the girls dress and that you’ve made dinner reservations.

Once all of that is done, you’re ready for prom.
